My Background

After graduating high school, I relocated to Japan where I worked as an English teacher for 8 months and a customer service translator on a ski resort for 4 months, leading to my strong capability at Japanese language.

I am looking forward to applying some of the techniques I've learned from my university studies on real life problems when I graduate.

Education

Some of my educational highlights from University are:

  • 8.0 engineering honours GPA.

  • Engineering Science:
    - ORSNZ Young Practitioner Prize.
    - Fourth year project best presentation.

    - Cecil M Segedin prize.

  • Management Consulting Club:
    - Engineering Challenge - 1st place winner.

  • Statistics 210 Statistical Theory:
    - Certificate of Distinction.

Other interests

Outside of my studies and work, I'm an avid rugby supporter and player and co-founder of a university club called Auckland University Engineering Sports Club (AUESC). AUESC is a body of sports minded engineering students with the goal of improving the equipment, support and success of engineering sports people. The club has six sponsors for 2014.

Data Scientist / Engineering Scientist

I've recently completed a degree in Engineering Science majoring in Operations Research at the University Of Auckland, New Zealand. Operations Research provides a mathematical basis for decision making and is commonly used in strategic consulting, finance and supply chain industries.

I've recently started working as a data scientist at Harmonic Analytics and am excited to use the engineering skillset to analyse client problems.
